Hedgehog Halloween #5

Well, I hadn't planned on not blogging for so long, but I also hadn't planned on my husband breaking his arm and being home for so long. We are hoping the doctor will allow him to go back to work when he sees the new xrays on Monday.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming.

I made this card with the new, super cute set from TAC, called "Hedgehog Halloween" In the previous cards with this set, I have used the stamps in ways to make them not a halloween set, but this time I altered the stamp itself. I cut the jack-o-lantern face out of the middle of the stamp using my craft knife. This makes me able to use it for all of autumn.

I colored with watercolor pencil and a dove blender, the papers are TAC brown, ivory, and kraft, along with DCWV orange, and Bazzill green. I sponged most of the edges with Burnt Umber Palette. The scallops on the edge of the orange piece were done with scissors. The other two stamp sets I used are "Great Greetings" and "Running Stitches."

It feels good to be back to stamping.

  2. Now that is a cute card and the idea of cutting out the pumpkin face is clever. Nice work.
