Swirled Spring Life 2

A quick and fun card using "Swirled Spring Life", one of the new hostess sets from TAC. I used my Scor-pal for the embossing on the pink paper, watercolor pencils for the coloring, a Friskars border punch, and a scalloped circle punch for the scallops.
Easy, cheesy, peasy...

Swirled Spring Life 1

This is one of the cards that we made at my hostess club this month. I should have taken a pic of it before the get together, because someone thought you lifted the flap instead of swinging it...but you can still get the idea. This card is called a Swing Card, or a Hinged Swing card, or at least it is a variation of that.

This is one of the Level A hostess sets from the new Serendipity, called "Swirled Spring Life" (if you didn't catch that from the title of this post, lol). I paired it with one of the sentiments from "Bitty Bugs".

The paper is from TACs "Angelee" SWIC...it is sooo soft and pretty. A little bit of sparkle was put on this bird using a glitter pen...love those things!

Little Cupcake, Birthday Wishes

I made this card while stamping with my friend Hannah Sunday afternoon. I wish I had taken some pics of her cards...she is 12 years old and all her cards have an extra flourish to them that mine "staid" cards don't have.
This is a pic of the only card that I created in the same time it took her to do 3. For some reason I create a lot slower when stamping with friends...maybe because my mouth is running and my hands have to gesture for me to be able to talk...kinda makes it hard to stamp.
This card measures 4x4, and was done with TACs stamp set called "Little Cupcake" (R-2038), Uptown Girl paper (V-922), black and white cardstock, a white gel pen, and glitter pen. The coloring was done with watercolor pencils, a dove blender, and a gray tombow marker.
Really simple, but I like it.

A Couple 3x3 Cards

Here are a couple 3x3 cards I made with the wonderful "Seeds of Blessing" stamp set. The images in this set are wonderful, but the sayings are what I fell in love with first.
The paper I used is from TAC's Mimi collection, Ivory and Kraft cardstock, and the cardstock that matches Mimi.
Other Supplies: Mimi ribbon, scalloped oval punch, paper piercer, scalloped scissors, watercolor pencils, and crystal stickles

Belated Christmas Stuff

Here are a couple of things I made, just for fun, to decorate our Christmas table. The wine glass marker idea came from Julie, she is da bomb. I didn't have a snowflake stamp, so my "snowflakes" are from TAC's "Circle Sampler" set. Theornament is from a retired set that has something for every season, but I can't remember the name.
Cardsotck is Kraft,DCWV Red, and Ivory. The ink is Moulin Rouge and Burnt Umber

Oceans of Love

This card uses TAC's soon to be retired hostess set "Oceans of Love". I used a sketch from Heather's blog, and a color challenge from Paper Wings.
I was using my watercolor crayons to color-I need to work with those some more-I still don't have them down.
The embossed paper was done with my Big Shot and an embossing folder.

Sneak Peek

Isn't this set just too cute?!?! It is a sneak peek from TAC's new Serendipity mini catalogue that will go live at the beginning of February. I can't wait to get this set and my hands. It makes me impatient to create with it.
Want to see a couple of cards made with it? Check out these blogs:
Chelsea's Blog She has lots of other great sneak peeks on her blog. Scroll down and check them out!!
Angela's Blog I love how she changed them to a Valentine's theme.

Watercolor Plants 3

Here is another card I made using watercolor plants. I just love this set.
The colors did not come through true to life, so it is much nicer IRL. I colored with markers, and used generational stamping for the flowers "behind" the three in front (they are hard to see in this pic.
The background was done using my Big Shot and a cuttlebug folder. The lines across the yellow were done with my scor-pal.
Other supplies: Circle and scalloped punches, white gel pen, and ribbon with Bazzill paper

Watercolor Plants 2

This card was a CASE of my friend Chris' card

I changed it up a bit, but the inspiration came from her card. In the first picture I was trying to show you the shimmer I put on these flowers using my new glitter pen...I love it!!! I am able to put glitter in such small spaces.
The stamps used are "Script Background" and "Watercolor Plants" I hadn't even given watercolor plants a second glance in the catty until I started seeing some really cute cards using it. I couldn't even remember it being IN the catty, so I had to go and find it. It is now in my hands, and I believe you will be seeing much more of it in the future...and know what else, the set only costs $8.95!!!

Winter Mouse

Not the best card I have made recently, but it will do. It was done using "Mice Day" and "Snowflake Backgrounder" from TAC. I colored with my usual watercolor pencils.
