High Hopes Birthday Challenge

I made this kid's birthday card for the new challenge over on the High Hopes blog. I just love this little giraffe, Stretch. I think this card could work for boy or girl...gotta love that.

Here's a Hug

I was able to get together with some stamping friend on Saturday...and I had a blast. There was a lot of cardmaking going on. Some of the ladies even created as many as 20-40 cards, but me, well, I got a whole 4 done. Oh well, I had a lot of fun, and that made it worth it.

This is the first card I finished.

Supplies:

"Kid Praises" (retired TAC)

Ribbon, circle punches, bazzill cardstock, and "A Little Whimsy"-TACs patterned paper

Colored with colored pencil, blender pen, and skin tone pencils

Thoughts and Prayers Card from Verve Sketch

I made this card with a Verve sketch I found on SCS. The supplies I used are all from The Angel Company. The stamp sets are called "Thoughts and Prayers" and "Running Stitches." The patterned paper is from the "More Mimi" Soar with it Collection. I made the the flower out of cardstock using my scalloped nestie. The ink is Palette Burnt Umber.

Same Sketch-Different Cards

I created these cards with a sketch my friend Christine gave me. The top one was the first thing I created with it, but I wasn't really satisfied with the results, so I made this next one.

I like this one a little bit better, but I hope I will have a little more time to work with the sketch

A Quick One Layer Card

I made this card for a challenge over on Paper Wings. We were challenged to make a card using only a card base and ink...no layers, no ribbon, buttons, no nothin'. This is what I came up with...and, no, I didn't use any ribbon...that is actually a retired TAC stamp set called "Ribbon Borders." The other two stamp sets are the newly retired "Circle Sampler" and the wonderful sentiment set that is in our current catty called "Thoughts and Prayers."

The ink I used is all Palette...Violete, Cognac, and Landscape. Very quick, very easy, very fun.

Pretty Butterflies

This card was inspired by a long ago post on Mischelle's Savvy Projects blog, but when I went to find it I couldn't, so I am sorry I am not able to give credit to the first artist.

Friskars treading water border punch, scorpal, circle punch, pearls (SU!), and SWIC
