This card was made by Diane. Isn't it pretty? I love how she made her own background paper.
The sentiment is from the set "Peace on Earth", and by embossing it the whole card becomes so elegant.

I received some cards in a small swap

I participated in recently, and thought I would share them here over the next week or so.

This card was done by Seleise. Isn't it cute? She used the set "Merriest Wishes." There is a touch of glitter on the snowman that doesn't show up in the picture, but really gives at such a pretty sparkle.

Extra, Extra

I made this card with one of the cute images that my friend Diana sent me quite awhile ago, I just haven't had a lot of time to play with them. I am glad I pulled it out, it was SO much fun to color.

I used watercolor pencils and the gray tombow to color, and then a brown ink pad and a sponge for around the edges. The cardstock is TACs brown and DCWV for the orange and green.

Everyday Events

This is one of the cards that I made with my hostess club ladies last night. I had such a fun time. The stamp set I used is called "Everyday Events" and it is a great all purpose set, having a stamp for just about every event you would need. The paper is from TACs "Toodle Loo." The paper in that pack is just too cute.

I used the "Swiss Dots" cuttlebug embossing folder for the embossed paper. I quick run through my Big Shot. Right now, while supplies last, TAC has the Big Shot Beginners Kit for on sale at a great price. Only 80.00!!!! That is the Big Shot machine, and some great die cuts and accessories to get you started.

Jessica's Card

Isn't this cute! My friend Jess made it, so I can't take credit. She is so creative. The scan, of course, did not do the card justice, the colors wash out in spots, but the cuteness of the card is not diminished.
The stamp set she used is called "Coffe Talk" and is in our new supplement, called "The Avenue."

Angel Art Blog Hop

It is blog hopping time again! This month is to use some fall themed stamps and have fun with them.

I made up this card using "Sunshiny Day," a set from our base catty. The picture didn't capture the colors properly...the purples really DO match.
The papers are from TACs Penelope collection. The cardstock is the cardstock that matches it. I made the pattern on the background using my scor-pal with the scorbug. A little paper piercing, buttons, and scrappers floss and I was done.

Look Who is ONE!

Happy first birthday to my darling Daughter, Julia!!! Here she is helping me make her birthday cake, or should I say, eat part of what I cut off the top. She loved it.
I will post other pics later, once we have actually celebrated her special day...a couple of days late. Her cake is almost done, but I have so add the finishing touches.

Little Scrapbook Page

I made this first scrapbook page with very limited supplies. For the second page I stepped it up just a smidgen, adding a stamped sentiment and a scalloped border up the strip of patterned paper.

It is so hard to believe that this picture is now almost a year old.

Supplies:
Paper: More Mimi and matching cardstock
Stamps: You Are
Accessories: Bitty Blosson, Lime scrappers floss, border punch

Butterfly Bits 2

I just love this card. It was made with the stamp set "Butterfly Bits" on page 59 of the current catty.
I stamped the butterfly with the rock and roll technique, and then I masked it in order to put the "swirls" behind it. A touch a stickles down the center give it a sparkle.
The little bit of brown up the side was put through a crimper, and gives the card just a bit of depth.
The scallop was done with our cloud scissors and a paper piercer.
The other stamp used is called "Running Stitches," and it is that I used, and not a sewing machine, for the stitching.

Christmas Angel

I decided to play with Heather's sketch this week, and I am just squeezing in under the wire before the next one comes out. This is not one of my favorite sets, I received it for free, but this is very close to what popped into my mind when I saw this week's sketch, so I went with it. What do you think?
Supplies:
Stamp-"Just Dream:"
Ink and paper: Noir Palette, Bazzill greens and DCWV red
Accessories: Crystal stickles, Watercolor pencils and blender pen, Crimper, Brads, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Grey tombow marker,Paper piercer and plastic canvas, and Skin tone pencils

Masculine Cars Card

I need as masculine card to send out this week, and here is what I came up with

The stamp set I used is called, believe it or not, "Cars." For the embossed paper I ran it through my Big Shot with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The main image was embossed and then colored with watercolors, and the last touch was using the snaps that look like screw. I think it came pretty guy-ish, something I have a hard time doing.
I want to thank Risa for inspiration on this card. You can see a card she did with this set HERE. Her card just blows mine away, in fact, her whole blog is worth looking through, she has amazing work.

Neglected Stamps

I was stamping with Melora on Saturday, so I decided to pull out some of my non-TAC stamps that have been feeling neglected. All of these stamps are from "High Hopes" a wonderful company out of Canada. The papers are from TAC. Neither of these cards scanned well and I like them soooo much more IRL (in real life). I was a little stickle happy, so there are stickles on the cross card and the dragon card.
I am going to add a sentiment to the dragon card once I figure out for what occassion (and person) I will be sending it

Horse Birthday

I saw a cute card on SCS and decided to make one myself. The directions are found HERE.
I think this would make a cute way to send a Christmas card with a picture to display...what do you think?

I used TACs "Happy Trails" stamp set. The sentiment is from "Great Greetings" the inside of the card says...the more you have the longer you live.
