Dear Friend

This darling little girl is from TAC's sets called "Dear Friend." I used an old sketch that seemed to pop into my head when I found this paper while cleaning. The paper is from my stash (Provo Craft, maybe?), and colored with watercolor pencil.

Blog Hop Time-Retiring Sets

I am excited to be participating in this month's blog hop, sponsored by Paper Wings, a fun place for angels to hang out, and a site for everyone to get ideas for projects and done with stamps from The Angel Company.

For this month's blog hop we are focusing only on stamp sets that will be retiring at the end of June. That is right, the stamps that you see in this hop are only available for a short time! The good news is that they are available at a discounted price!!! Yeah!!!

My card was done using my all time favorite nature set, called "All Things of Nature." I stamped the image with Noir Palette ink, onto white paper. I then cut out around the hummingbird so that I could have is hovering out of the box. I colored with watercolor pencils and a dove blender. The paper is "A Little Whimsy," also from TAC, and the ribbon is from the "More Mimi" collection.

Now hop on over to see the other participants creations:

You're a Gem!

I used TAC's retired sets called "Pirates" and "Treasure Seekers," which work so well together, and the current "Running Stitches."

Other supplies were punches, pearl stickers, gel pen, and stickles.

High Hopes Firefighter

I was barely able to get a card done in time for the current challenge over on the High Hopes Blog. I loved that the challenge was "Anything Goes,." It made it possible to be a part of it.

Swoosh....There It Is

I CASED this card from another angel's that I saw quite some time ago over on PaperWingsOnline. You can see her version HERE . My sons like her colors better, but I was going for the school colors of the young lady I am giving this to.

Oh No!!!

This card ended up an "on no" in a couple of ways. First is the obvious, to be sent to someone who was hurt. The second, that I didn't realize, until I went to take a picture of the card, that I had adhered the cardfront so that it opens backwards...ooops! Guess I either need to come up with a fun and fitting saying on the inside, or trash it.

Stamps: "Running Stitches" and a retired basketball set.
