High Hopes Challenge

I made these boxes for the goodies my daughter gave to the friends who came to her birthday party on Saturday. It also fits this week's challenge over on the High Hopes blog...to make a party favor. They were quick and easy, and the kids liked them....or at least they liked what was in them =)

Caught in Glass

I think that is the name of the technique anyways. I saw it about a month ago on SCS and wanted to try it. I came across a small problem. My black embossing powder is old, at least 14 years old. It did some weird things, but still, even though it doesn't look just like it was supposed to for this technique, I like it.

I used an old sketch from either SCS or Mojo Monday for this card...sorry I can't remember right now.

Notebook Created by Anthony and Brandon

This is an altered notebook created in a dual effort by my two sons, Anthony and Brandon. It was created for this week's challenge over at the High Hopes blog. I told the boys if we won that they could pick out the free stamps. Anthony is also going to use the notebook for some of his school work.

Anthony chose the paper and created the layout, and BJ colored it.

Teddy Bear Blog Hop

I joined a blog hop that is just my style. I LOVE teddy bears, a teddy was one of the first gifts my DH bought me, and we even had bear figures on our cake topper at our wedding. Did I mention I like teddy bears? LOL.
This little teddy bear is and old set from TAC, and one that I fell in love with the first time I saw it. The background is made from an even older TAC background set.
Cardstock is kraft, SU Peach, brown and ivory.

Now go check out some other cute teddy cards on the blogs below.

Toadally Awesome

I used four TAC sets on this bookmark/pocket card. "Pocket Peepers," "Running Stitches," "Speckle," and "Hoppy Everything." It didn't turn out like what I had envisioned when I started, but that is ok.

Big thanks to Laura for stamping of the cute little frog image for me....wish I had Pocket Peepers, but, oh well.

The God of Hope

A very clean and simple card, but I think it works well. I wanted the words to really speak.

My picture didn't capture the color of the flowers well...they are a much more of an orangey color.

All supplies TAC.

Melora Inspired

My young friend Melora was over the other day playing with my stamps, and took out a set that I hadn't played with for a looong time. Her card (which I didn't get a picture of) was the inspiration for this simple one. I think I like it, even if it is really plain.

High Hopes Challenge

I joined in the current High Hopes Challenge. It was to use fall colors, and listed, orange, black, purple, brown, and red. I don't think this looks very fall-like, but I did use all 5 of the colors...althought the orange is just on the tie.

Final Farewell Blog Hop

As many of you know The Angel Company decided to close it's "doors." It is now no longer in business. My time with TAC has been a special and wonderful time for me. I have made so many new friends and learned so much, both about myself and crafting. Thank you Mischelle for giving me a wonderful company to be a part of these last, almost, 7 years. Best wishes to you and to each of my angel friends. God bless you as you go foward into whatever new paths you choose.

Some of us angels decided we needed a way to say goodbye to this special company and our fabulous friend Mischelle, and that is what this blog hop is...hop from site to site (posted below) and see wonderful work done with images from The Angel Company. The two cards above were done with one of my favorite sets, designed by Nina B., from TACs newest catalog. It is called "Vintage Rides." The patterned paper in the plane card is from TAC's paper called "Toodle Loo." The clouds were hand drawn.

This next card was done with another great set called, "Sweet Day Cupcake," and was so much fun to play with.

The image on this card was actually colored by my friend Cristy when we were stamping together a little bit ago, but she decided it didn't work on her card. As it lay there on the table this card layout just burst into my head. I love it when that happens =).

The last card is also done with "Sweet Day Cupcake" I really like the simplicity of it. You can't really tell, but there is a little bit of Glossy Accents.

So now, if you want to see more fabulous cards hop from around to each of the blogs listed below.

Somebunny Circle

I created this cute little card using my nestie scalloped circle die in my Big Shot. I folded the paper first and made sure the very top wasn't cut, that way it will still open.

Stamps: "I Love Easter" (TAC) The rest of the supplies are all from TAC as well. I received inspiration for this card from THIS card...although mine didn't come out as fancy as hers

Falling Apart

This card pretty much sums up how our car has been feeling this last week. It has spent more time broken down on the side of the road than running. =(

I just LOVE this image, but I don't own it. My friend, Diana, stamped it off for me a loong time ago. I have been afraid to use it, and possibly ruin one of my only images...but I think I like what I ended up with.

Does anyone know what company makes this image? I would like to give them credit, but am not able.

All the rest of the supples, eyelets, ribbon, paper, ink, and colored pencils, all came from The Angel Company...as you all know, it is my favoritest company.

God Bless!

With Sympathy

This is another of the cards that I made a couple of weeks ago on my stamping Saturday with friends. I actually had all the pieces cute, except the ivory, from an event I went to years ago. I had never finished the project, so I didn't have the stamps that the original card used. It was fun to go through everyone else's stamps to find the perfect flowers to fit...and yes, for some reason I knew I wanted flowers. These flowers belonged to my friend, Sharon, and I LOVE them.

I stamped the outline in black and colored it in with Shimmery chalks (so much sparklier in person). Perfection...or at least I think so. What do you think?

Bunny Birthday

Well, it was back to school for our family on Monday. I like to get an early start, and then hopefully an early finish. At the beginning of every summer vacation I am sure that I am going to get so much more done than during the school year, because of the extra time I will have...but, you know what, I don't. I think it is because I tend to not make a schedule during the summer.

As for this card, I think it is missing something...but decided it was okay as it was and let it go.

Supplies:

"I Love Easter" set from TAC...such a cute versatile set

Cuttlebug embossing folder, and watercolor pencils

Here's a Hug

I was able to get together with some stamping friend on Saturday...and I had a blast. There was a lot of cardmaking going on. Some of the ladies even created as many as 20-40 cards, but me, well, I got a whole 4 done. Oh well, I had a lot of fun, and that made it worth it.

This is the first card I finished.

Ribbon, circle punches, bazzill cardstock, and "A Little Whimsy"-TACs patterned paper

A Quick One Layer Card

I made this card for a challenge over on Paper Wings. We were challenged to make a card using only a card base and ink...no layers, no ribbon, buttons, no nothin'. This is what I came up with...and, no, I didn't use any ribbon...that is actually a retired TAC stamp set called "Ribbon Borders." The other two stamp sets are the newly retired "Circle Sampler" and the wonderful sentiment set that is in our current catty called "Thoughts and Prayers."

The ink I used is all Palette...Violete, Cognac, and Landscape. Very quick, very easy, very fun.

A quick and simple card using TAC's "Sending a Latte" and "Graphic Blooms" stamp sets.

Stars and Stripes Challenge

I made this card for a challenge over on the High Hopes blog. The card needed to be made with a stars and stripes theme to fit...I think this works.

I colored with watercolor pencils and a dove blender and added a little stickles. I ran the blue paper through my Big Shot in a cuttlebug folder, and that was about it besides adhering it all together. Easy peasy.

You Make My Heart Sing

A quick thank you to my stamping friend, Kerry, for stamping off these images for me so I could play with this limited time only stamp set from TAC. The card is based on a sketch from Mojo Monday.

Supplies:

Stamp: You Make My Heart Sing

Paper: TACs "Cha Cha"

Colored with watercolor pencil and a Dove Blender

Accessories: Ribbon, buttons, oval punch, and Crystal stickles

Dear Friend

This darling little girl is from TAC's sets called "Dear Friend." I used an old sketch that seemed to pop into my head when I found this paper while cleaning. The paper is from my stash (Provo Craft, maybe?), and colored with watercolor pencil.

Blog Hop Time-Retiring Sets

I am excited to be participating in this month's blog hop, sponsored by Paper Wings, a fun place for angels to hang out, and a site for everyone to get ideas for projects and done with stamps from The Angel Company.

For this month's blog hop we are focusing only on stamp sets that will be retiring at the end of June. That is right, the stamps that you see in this hop are only available for a short time! The good news is that they are available at a discounted price!!! Yeah!!!

My card was done using my all time favorite nature set, called "All Things of Nature." I stamped the image with Noir Palette ink, onto white paper. I then cut out around the hummingbird so that I could have is hovering out of the box. I colored with watercolor pencils and a dove blender. The paper is "A Little Whimsy," also from TAC, and the ribbon is from the "More Mimi" collection.

Now hop on over to see the other participants creations:
