Hedgehog Halloween?

The main image on this card is from a brand new stamp set from The Angel Company's newest magalogue (aka supplement) called "Inspiration Avenue". Inspiration Avenue goes live for ordering tomorrow!
When I saw this stamp set in the maggie, I fell in love. The only problem was this is a Halloween set and I don't do Halloween. Looking at the set over and over I realized that this set didn't HAVE to be used for Halloween at all. This image was the one I had the hardest time deciding how to change to another use...when I found this sentiment in another one of my stamp sets I was so excited, it is perfect!
I will be sharing how I made the rest of the images in this set so totally NOT Halloween over the rest of this week. Be sure to stop back and see what I have done.
This card was so fun and easy to make because I used one of Heather's fabulous sketches, found HERE, and all I had to do was "fill in the blanks"
Supplies:
Stamps-Hedgehog Halloween, Bitty Bugs, and Running Stitches
Paper: Miss Moxie SWIC and matching cardstock
Ink: Palette Noir and Burnt Umber
Accessories: Colored pencil and watercolor pencil, mini heart brads, paper piercer and plastic canvas
Oh, and how was I so blessed to get my hands on images from this cute set before we are even able to order from the maggie? Well, it is because I have friends in high places, lol. The wonderful and talented card artist Laurie Willison was asked to design for TACs newest publication. She received this stamp set to work with. When she found out how much I liked it she sent me some stamped images as a RAK...I was so surprised and excited. You can see her fabulous work on her blog HERE Working with this set has made me even more sure I want it for my own. It is so fun to color and design with. Thank you Laurie.

Julia and Daddy

Daddy is Julia's favorite person, no doubt about it. She is constantly "da-da"ing at him, trying to get his attention.

On Sunday mornings Wayne will often go out on the front porch to study in quiet, and Julia likes to hang out with him. I thought I would capture this "Daddy time". As you can see she loves it.

I just took this pic yesterday...it is hard to believe she is over 10 months old already.

Just Hanging Out

I won't even tell you how long it took me to make this card that I am not really thrilled with...okay, okay, I WILL tell you...3 days. Of course, I spent most of that time just staring at the image, not sure what I wanted to do with it. My MOJO has been ho-hum lately.
Supplies:
Hanging Out (TAC....thanks Melisa for the images)
Cardstock: DCWV
Ink: Palette Noir and VersaMark
Accessories: Zig Pen, button, DMC floss, watercolor pencils and blender pen, sanding block, and scissor to discress the edges.

You Make Difference

This card was made by combining two challenges on PaperWings. See HERE and HERE The first one was a picture to draw inspiration from, and the second one a sketch.
This card is 6x6, a larger size than I normally use, but it was fun to work outside of my "box"
Supplies:
Stamp: Gerbera Daisy (stem cut off), Ordinary Greetings, Speckle
Cardstock: DCWV and Walmart white and black
Accessories: Black button (cut off one of my old dresses), black scrappers flass, Noir Palette ink, circle coluzzle, corner rounder, and pop dots.
The cardstock's colors really do match the flowers better IRL.

Anthony's Birthday Coupon Book

I have a new project up on Mischelle's Savvy Project blog. Check it out HERE

Now that Anthony has seen it show up on-line he can't wait to get it back and start using those coupons. Of course the double computer time is his favorite...what's wrong with ice cream with Mom, huh?

I guess his conquering the world games are just "cooler"

Wedding Card

I made this card using a sketch posted on Paper Wings. I turned the sketch on its side.
This stamp set is one of the sets that came out in the spring Serendipity magalogue. I colored it with watercolor pencils and a blender, and added some crystal Stickles for sparkle. The ivory has been embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder...my favorite, Swiss Dots.
