Friend

I made this card using Heather's Monday Card Sketch. She also has a wonderful video tutorial for a Christmas planner she created, so check it out.
This was a difficult sketch for me, but I finally came up with something I am happy with.

The stamp sets I used are Gerbera Daisy and Running Stitches, along with a great new word set from the new catty called "Great Greetings" I love this set because it has sayings that can be combined for the outside AND inside of your cards.
My other supplies are blue cardstock, Lilly Ana SWIC paper, a Friskars border punch, watercolor pencils, dove blender, and Palette Noir ink.

Ice Cream Anyone?

I made this card using this weeks sketch challenge on Splitcoaststampers.

The stamp is from TACs "Ice Cream"
I used TACs Lillyanna paper, brown, pink, and white cardstock.
The scallop on the bottom is done with the Friskars "Threading Water" border punch.

Robots

I received these stamped images from my Angel friend Seleise. Thanks so much Seleise!!!

The set name is called, well, "Robots" of course. The cardstock is DCWV. The patterned paper is TACs "Just Like Dad." I stamped with Noir Palette ink, and then colored with watercolor pencils and a blender pen, added a brad and a couple eyelets, and counted it as done....perfect for a little boy.

I asked my 8 year old what he thought of it, and his comment was, "Cute, mom, totally!"

Spunky Sprite Boys 2

Another card for my little boys stash

Supplies:
White and Black Cardstock
K-Pad Boys paper (TAC)
Watercolor pencils and blender
Circle punch
Coluzzle Circle
Grosgrain Ribbon
Palette Ink
Stamps: Spunky Sprite Boys and Running Stitches

I put the image up on really skinny pop dots, can you tell? I just wanted it high enough to go smoothly over the ribbon.

A Card from Seleise

I received this pretty card in the mail from my angel friend, Seleise. She also sent me some stamped images that I can't wait to play with.

This card is much prettier in person. The technique she used to make the background paper didn't really show up well in the scan.

I believe the sets she used are "The Arts" and "Tag Tidbits"

Pirate Card

I made this card using Heather's Monday Sketch. She is so creative.

The mascot for the schools in the town we live in is a pirate...so I find a lot of use for pirate stamps. This stamp set was just retired by TAC with the last catty.

I colored with water color pencil and blender pen. The eye patch is colored in with Black Stickles. I used a paper crimper on the black strip of cardstock across the front, and a pair of scissors and my finger nails to distress the edges of the main images cardstock.

Love Bug 1

I don't know how long it has been since I have worked so long on such a simple card...and still came out with something I am not totally pleased with. I feel like something is missing, but can't figure out what, so I gave up.

I used one of my brand new stamp sets, called "Love Bug". The paper is Bazzill, Kraft, and Ivory. I paper pieced with a tiny piece of LillyAna SWIC> I used my cloud scissors for the scallops, the cuttlebug Swiss dots folder, and the Scor-pal, for the embossing.

The card size is 4.25 x4.25.

Replenish My Stash Blog Hop

I decided to participate in a Paper Wings blog hop. The one had very few limitations. The idea was just to get stamping and replenish our summer card stash. Since I am almost totally out of little boy cards, that is what I concentrated on. Here are the three cards that I made:

This first one I made with one of my brand new stamp sets, called "Spunky Sprite Boys". This card is the first time the rubber was inked to paper. I used the K-pad Boyz paper pack from TAC on the bottom. It is such fun and happy paper. The "stitching" around the edges of the image is actually a stamp set called "Running Stitches" that I use constantly.

I made this next card using some images stamped for me by my great angel friend, Kim. Thanks again Kim.

I used DCWV cardstock, blue paper, and K-Pad Boyz paper from TAC. The yellow paper I embossed with my Big Shot and a Cuttlebug folder....love 'em.

I colored with colored pencil and baby oil. I really didn't believe it would work as well as the mineral spirits that I have, but it did great. I added some Crystal Laquer to the water.

My only copy of the catty is lent out, so I can't tell you the set name right now....I will try to remember to do that later.

And this last card was also done using the images that Kim sent me, and is from the same set as the image above.

I kept it really simple, but I really like how it turned out. I have been really into using black lately...what do you think? I colored this when my eyes were getting tired, and since my glasses were stepped on at youth camp, you will have to excuse some the the details.

Nana Time

I was so excited to be able to see my mother for a short time this week. I usually am only able to see her about once a year, and I have now seen her THREE times in 9 months!!! I have been so blessed. I did have to travel a few hours to Missouri, but that was okay, SOOO worth it.

Here is my mom showing her true personality

On the way down to my aunt's house (where my mother was staying) I shortened the trip by stopping the night with my friends Del and Courtney. It was so nice to spend time with them and their 5 children. They are such wonderful friends and I wish we lived closer. 6 of the combined 8 children spent the night on the living room floor as a big slumber party. They loved it. They were also up early the next day and outside playing, in their pajamas, quicker than you would think possible. It is a good thing they live in the country, LOL

Sock Hop 1

I received some stamped images in the mail today from my friend Barb. The set was a special, one time only set that was given out at TACs seminar this year. I wasn't able to go, but at least I am able to play with these cute images now.

This card was quick and simple since I didn't have a lot of time to create it. I am going out of town soon, so there is a lot of things to be done, but I couldn't resist the urge to play.

I colored the image with a mixture of colored pencils and mineral spirits and water color pencil and blender pen. Fun and easy!

LIttle Stinkers 3 (or really 4)

I am using up some old Basic Grey paper I have from a few years ago when TAC was selling their papers. This is also an old, go to layout that I have used time and again. I colored using my watercolor pencils and Dove blender, and also added a little sponging with the Cognac Palette ink around all the edges.

The stamp sets are: Little Stinkers from the spring "Serendipity", Running Stitches (a real must have), and Ordinary Greetings.

My Cowboys

This is what my little cowboys looked like Sunday morning before church. They had been able to get ready for church early and so decided to play cowboys (Anth received old Roy Rogers movies from Grandma for his bday). They were so cute I made them stop so I could get pictures. They loved it, and believe it or not, on both of these they posed themselves...Anthony just HAD to have one of him going for his guns (can you see them tucked into his belt?), since he insists he is a really FAST draw. Brandon was shooting behind him, whether he was shooting at a chasing posse, or is being chased by bad guys, who knows.

I have another project up on Mischelle's blog. You can see it HERE. There is also a sneak peak at a new set that won't be out until September.

Punk Princess Card

A quick and simple card made with "Punk Princess," one of the sets TAC had as a special last month.

The paper is Uptown Girl. There are Crystal Stickles on the main piece, but it doesn't show up well on the scan.

Finally Some Stamping

Here is a scrapbook page that sent in to TAC, but it didn't make their site.

I used Simple-Bet and a one month only bird set that was out in June. The paper is TACs Toodle Loo and matching cardstock.

New Camera But NO Stamping

My husband is on a forced "vacation" this week, as his work closed down for the week to save some money. Because of that I am not getting much done around the house. We did have a fun day yesterday. We went to the Nature Center which is near the Tulsa Zoo and went on a short hike, were able to look inside a honey bee hive, and a few other neat things while there. We will definitely be going back for some of the "classes" they hold for kids. While there I was able to play around a little with my new camera. Here are 3 of the pics that I took. Julia was my subject because the boys wouldn't sit still. Of course, she wouldn't have either if she had a choice, but she isn't that mobile yet.

"Bad" Haircut...

Sorry, no stamping today. This is a pic my now 8 year old (his birthday is today) took of the back of my head. Some of my friends from far away had heard of my haircut that ended up WAAAAAY shorter than it was supposed to be and wanted to see it. This is a month and a half later, so you can imagine how short it was then! At the time it was shorter in the back than Wayne's, granted, he needed a haircut badly, but STILL!!! By the time I had realized what she was doing, it was too late, it would have had to be glued back on, lol.

I am not sure how to grow this out and get it back to what I like AND still have it look nice while it does. I wish extensions weren't so stinkin' expensive.
