Enjoying the Moment

I am definitely enjoying the moment!!! My mailman came and left me a little package, from my friend Diana Molinaro, in tha mail today-and it included this card, Isn't it amazing??? I must say it is even more amazing IRL than I was able to get my scanner to show. Because of the pretty flowers on the card being raised up the colors are a little washed out. You can still see her fabulous coloring, and all the sparkle and fun she put into this card. I want to color like this when I grow up...maybe one of these days I will take the plunge and invest in Copics. Diana sure is tempting me towards it.

Thanks again Diana, SOO much!!!

Matchbox Drawers/Holder

I have an item posted on Mischelle's blog today. It was a little beat up in transit I see, but I still think it is okay. I had a hard time parting with this one because it just screamed to be a gift to my MIL who loves all things purple and pretty.

Savvy Projects Blog Designer!

I have had the priviledge of being asked to be a Guest Designer on Mischelle Smith's blog, "Savvy Projects." I will be doing at least one project a month for the next 6 months. You can see the first project that I did HERE on her blog. I will post a link from here to her blog anytime that she shows one of my pieces.

Because I am doing this work for her, my posts here may be a little farther between than normal. Please bear with me.

Mice Day #2

Here is another card done with "Mice Day", one of the stamp sets I received when I won the last TAC contest. Since I love to color it has been a lot of fun to play with.
The paper, tag, ribbon, and cardstock are all from TACs Toodle Loo. I thought this little guy looked like a baby mouse, so I was going for a baby card look. I think it would work, but it also wouldn't HAVE to be a baby card if I needed it for something else.
I colored with watercolor pencil (again), the other set I used was "Running Stitches" for the stitched look.

Little Stinkers 2

I have been in a MOJO slump for a couple of weeks and am working on getting the juices flowing again. One of the things that I do when I am feeling that way is to use sketches to create from. That way I don't have to do a lot of the creative process on my own. I just "fill in the blanks" so to speak.
In this case I used a card sketch by Tiets. HERE is her blog. Her artwork is incredible, you need to stop by her blog and browse awhile when you have some time.
She created this sketch for a square card, which is not what I wanted, so I changed it a little bit. I think I am going to try to make it into a scrapbook page as well...see, it is helping my creativity a little already.
Supplies:
Stamp :Little Stinkers (TAC-Serendipity)
Paper: DCWV cardstock, Cha Cha SWIC (TAC), Miss Moxie Cardstock (red), and white CS
Ink: Palette Noir, Cowboy Boots (retired TAC)
Accessories: Mini Brad, grosgrain ribbon, Crystal stickles, watercolor pencil, pop dots, paper piercer with plastic canvas, and my Scor-pal.

Graphic Blooms Scrapbook Page-Blog Hop

The little cutie on this page is the daughter of a friend on mine...isn't she a cutie? Our families had gone hiking together at a state park in Arkansas, and when the hike was over the kids wanted to go to the playground that was near the camping area...we had so much fun!
The stamp set I used is called "Graphic Blooms" In order to make the leaves around the flowers I cut up the petals of one of the flowers in the set. I thought it worked well.
The flowers are stamped in L'Amore Red and Raw Sienna Palette ink, and the "leaves" are done with Landscape Palette.
The red flowers are up on popdots to give it some dimension. The buttons are from one of the wonderful embellishment jars TAC sells. I used a corner rounder for the scallops, and a gel pen for the white dots. And, last but not least, the paper and ribbon are TACs "Cha Cha" SWIC. The tags are also from this paper pack.
To see how others have used stamps to make scrapbook pages see these great blogs

New Family Pics

Lots of people have been asking for an updated family picture, one that has Julia in it...well here it is. These pics were taken of my family while we were in Maine. I thought my little sister did a pretty good job.

This is a picture of my mother reverting to her second childhood with her grandkids. They were playing Hullaballoo (or however you spell it), and she really got into it. With her are Brandon, David, and Anthony. We were at MY grandmothers house having a great grandchildren's party. What a blast...and a lot of noise.

Monkey Business #2

Since my MOJO is in a slump I MADE myself sit and make a card today...and this is what you get. I don't know what I will use it for yet, so I didn't put a sentiment on there, that will come later. Pretty plain, I know, but at least it is SOMETHING, which is better than the NOTHING that I have done the last few days.

Supplies:

Stamp: Monkey Business (TAC-Serendipity)

Paper: Blue and white cardstock, Kaleidascope Girlz patterned paper (TAC)

Ink: Palette Noir

Accessories: Watercolor pencil and dove blender, white gel pen, circle punch 2", scalloped punch

Barnyard Birthday

I received this cute card from my up-upline for my bday at the end of February. I held off posting it because she was still sending out these cards for the rest of this month. Since it is the beginning of a new month I figure I am ok.
The stamp set she used is TACs "Barnyard Birthday"-such a fun set
Do you recognize the layout? I CASED it for one of my Fairy Tales cards.
