My, oh my! It has been so long since I really stamped, colored images, or, well, done anything that can be considered part of paper crafting. I definitely need to practice...this one was kinda cheating since the card back was all put together who knows how long ago...all I did was add the image/sentiment, yet it was still "difficult."
Well, I had fun and my daughter joined me. So I am happy.

Batman-No Stamping Involved
Juliana wanted to make a card for a friend's 16th birthday. She had this sticker from one of her speech therapy appointments and was excited to use it for him, since she knew that Darin would love it. I helped her (a lot) with the layout and guided her with choosing colors from the picture...so I did quite a bit, but she was happy and we were able to spend some fun time together. Win, win in my book.

What Has Been Keeping Me Busy
A year ago, while in Nebraska to celebrate my grandfather's 90th birthday, I was given a couple of boxes of fabrics, craft books, and other miscellaneous things that had belonged to my grandmother who had passed away the summer before my senior year. (We won't discuss how many years ago that was. =P) Among the pieces of fabric were some squares she had cut to start a quilt. I used these squares, and cut some of my own from her her stash, to make a quilt top. It is just a little smaller than twin size, so I am going to buy a little matching fabric to make an edging. This quilt makes me so very happy. Working with fabrics that my grandma created with feels like a gentle connection. How I wish I had her wisdom and guidance now.
