Renasaince Festival

OK, so I don't know how to spell it, but we went to a Renascaince Festival last weekend with the kids. They had a lot of fun since the were able to see "real" knights in a "real" joust. They loved it when one of the guys fell off his horse.

Here are some pics of the kids in the area they had just for kids. There are more pics of BJ because he wanted to be with me all the time, and Anthony, daddys boy that he is, wanted to be with Wayne.
They would have stayed in the knight training room and fought forever. These weapons are all made of a heavy foam/plastic material, so it was hard to hurt someone with them. They loved it. They have been knights at home quite often since...which is nice since we can explain all the chilvaric virtues to them.
Does anyone know how to delete a duplicate pic on a post without deleting the whole post?

Yard Sale Find

Look what I found out yard saling with my MIL this morning! I paid $3 for it, so I think I got quite a good deal. Now I just have to figure out where it is going to go in the tiny stamping space. It doesn't fit my old TAC dye ink pads, but I seldom use those. This also gives me some room to grow, so maybe I will start slowly getting some more chalk ink...the four little spot pads I have are getting lonely. =).

Fly Away Home

This cute, yet simple card was CASED off someone, but I don't remember who.. I love the Cuttlebug embossing folders...they add so much that it is easy to get a simple card that doesn't feel like it is missing something.

Supplies: Squiggle Ladybugs, Circle and Scalloped punches, Black and Gingham ribbon, DCWV cardstock, black and white cardstock from Walmart, Cuttlebug folder with Big Shot

Field Trip to a Kids Museum

These pics are about a month old, but I just finally downloaded them off my camera. The boys and I, and 3 other homeschooling moms, went to a museum a couple of hours away. It was SO much fun, the boys had such a blast.

The first pic shows Anthony peddling a bike, the skeleton in the box imitates his movements, so he could see what his bones do inside his body. In the second pic Brandon and one of the other pre-K boys, Jonathon) experiment with bubbles. And the last picture shows Anthony, Darin, and Joseph (and unknown girl) trying to get a huge bubble up around their bodies and over their head. I don't think it ever worked with more than one person in it.
I would have had more pics, but my batteries died early in the day.
This weeks sketch challenge

Butterfly Sketch Card

This card was made using last weeks sketch challenge...I will post this weeks in just a minute. I also combined it with the Take 5 Challenge on A Shade of Blue. For this challenge we have to use the 5 things listed on the challenge, but nothing else besides nuetral cardstock, black ink, and stamps. This weeks list was buttons, colored cardstock, stickles, punches, and colored pencils.
The stamp set I used it called "Butterbees and More".

May 20 Sketch Challenge

I am sorry it has been so long since I posted. I have a couple of deadlines creeping up on me that have nothing to do with anything I can post on this blog. I will try to make up for it in a week or two.

A Cow at the Beach

This is another card done with one of my new sets. This set is from the Spring Supplement, and is called An'udder Birthday...so cute and fun.
I colored with watercolor pencil and blender pen. The ribbon is from SU! (but I received it as blog candy!!! Thanks Kisa) The patterned paper is from a Stack I bought from Michaels years ago, and it will probably take me years to use all of it.
This is such a simple card, yet I love it.

Dragonfly

This is the first card I have made with this set. I hope I will get better, but not too bad for just palying around. I put the top wings over pop dots and put stickles all over all the wings.
I used one of my old sketch challenges for the layout.
Stamp sets: Build a Buggie, Tag Tidbits, and a retired tag set

Counting Up

I put a counter on my blog either at the end of February or early March. I was wanting to see if anyone is reading what I am saying, or if I am just talking to myself. Well, since I hit 2500 views today, I found out that at least a few people are coming to visit me!!! Thank you all so much.

To celebrate I am giving away a little blog candy. Nothing fancy, but a small assortment of some retired sets that need some loving in a new home. If you would like the new home to be yours, leave me a comment to let me know you are stopping by. I am going to leave this open for a week, so next Friday I will be drawing a random winner from those who enter.
