One of Melora's Cards

Melora came over to stamp the other day (like the right before Thanksgiving kind of other day)when all the boys were out playing ball with Wayne. She knew she wanted to make a card for her Grandpa Hays, and this is what she came up with. I was saving it till after she gave it to him, and then I forgot about it.

Great Greetings

Do you like my polka dots? I made them using the stamp set "Build a Buggie" and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. The sentiment is from the set "Great Greetings."

Watercolor Plants 1

Another quick and easy card made for a challenge on Paper Wings. I colored the flowers and sentiment with markers. The embossed background was done with my scor-pal and scor-bug. I love that little tool.
I used the stamp sets "Watercolor Plants" and "Sending a Latte"

On the Beach

I was challenged on Paper Wings to get out and use a stamp set that had never "seen ink" before...you know one of those sets that you just HAVE to have, and then it just sits there?
Here is what I came up with from a set called "On the Beach" from TAC.

Thoughts and Prayers

This is the other card we did for last months funshop. I CASED it from a card I received in a swap a couple of years ago. I didn't have the same stamp she used, so I just used what I do have. The card featured generational stamping...stamping an image more than one time without reinking. It adds a lot of depth to the background paper we created.
I wish this pic showed up better, because I think it is much prettier IRL.
The stamp sets are "With Sympathy" and "Cute Curliques"

All Things of Nature 1

This is one of the cards that we made at my last months workshop. Just little changes to make them unique. Most of the ladies also chose to color the bird and branch with the chalks that I had out for that purpose, but for some reason, I like them better plain.
The stamp sets are "All Things of Nature" and "Running Stitches."

Lil Cowboy

I made this card for a color challenge on PaperWings this week. They are having a bunch of challenges and chances to win prizes...if you're a TAC angel, go and check it out.

I used the stamp set "Wild West" and the Rustic Chic paper (one of my favorite paper packs). The cardstock is kraft, brown, and ivory, with some dcwv red. I colored with watercolor pencils and a dove blender, skin tone pencils, and just a little bit of silver stickles on the badge.

Gerbera Daisy #6

A quick and easy card using my all time favorite flower stamp, "Gerbera Daisy"from TAC. It is so fun and can be used for so many occassions.
I colored with watercolor pencils and dove blender. The slot punch is from SU!, the border punch is Friskars, and he ribbon is from Walmart.

Happy Birthday Chickie

I made this card using this weeks sketch over at Saturday sketches. You can check them out over on my sidebar.
This is a retired stamp set from TAC, one I just can't get rid of because I love it so much.
The paper and cardstock are also all from TAC (Rustic Chic, brown and red)

Merry SnowGirl

I combined two challenges for this card. One, from High Hopes, was to make a tall card. The other was from Splitcoast, and was to create a clean and simple card using red and brown. Here is what I came up with.
Don't you like this image? I received it for winning the High Hopes challenge the week before last. I LOVE free stamps =).
The sentiment is from TAC's "Trendy Greetings"

A Blessing to Me

My mother, unlike her sister, is very bad at sending out birthday cards, so when I make her packs of cards I make the kind of cards she will use-encouragement or friendship. Ones that can be used at any time.
This card uses three different TAC stamp sets.
I wish I had put the yellow flower up on a pop dot for some more dimension, but besides that I really like this card. Can you believe it? There is absolutely NO coloring on this one!

High Hopes Challenge

This card was made for this weeks High Hopes challenge. I am barely squeeking this in on time. I changed their sketch a little since I don't normally do square cards, but I still think it fits.

101st Dalmation

A quick, but cute card to go in a gift pack of cards for my MIL. She teaches K5 at a Christian school, so she can always use little boy cards. I actually used one of her own stamps, the dalmation, for this. I borrowed it and kept for over a year...pretty bad of me, I know.

The sentiment is from TACs stamp set "Ordinary Greetings"

I don't know if I succeeded or not, but I wanted to make it look as if the dog had come out of the circle. To do this I added a little bit of dimension by stamping the dog twice, cutting just the head out of the second image, and layering it on top of the first with thin pop dots. This second picture shows the dimesion a little better than the first.

Monkey Business

Another card that can, hopefully, pass for a guy card. These are one of the hardest cards for me to come up with.

The stamp sets used for this are "Monkey Business" and "Running Stitches"

The little dots of embossing on the blue strip across the front were done with my scor-pal and scor-bug....luv em.

I made the clouds and ground by masking and sponging, and the little pants are paper pieced.

The paper is Basic Grey and Die Cuts with View (DCWV)
