Julia Helps Again

Hmmm....not sure what to do with such a helpful, creative daughter. I had made this card from a sketch, not sure where I found it, and, since I was still working on it, I left it on the desk. As you can tell, that was a big mistake, lol.

Walking on Sunshine

To me this mouse looks like he is having a party in the sky. This card was created using a sketch over on the High Hopes blog. I had intended to enter it into one of their contest, but when I realized I was too late, I decided to post it later.

Another Get Well Card

This is another get well card made with all High Hopes images. I just love these dragons, and I love how simple it was to make. I made this for a boy about my oldest son's age, but when I was done he said it looked too little kid-like, soo.....I ended up with another card in my stash.

Get Well Soon!

I made this for someone in particular, but, as usual, I didn't get it sent off. I am sooo much more a card maker than a card sender. I need to fix that.

Free Kittens!!!

Thankfully, these are just the stamped kind, and I am not having to find homes for real ones. My husband is allergic to cats, so we shouldn't ever have to do that.

This is an older High Hopes image that I fell in love with when they put it on sale a couple of months ago. I made the card for a friend I am missing very much...now, to see if I ever get it mailed off to her. I tend to be a card collector, not a card sender...bad, bad me.

High Hopes Challenge

I made these boxes for the goodies my daughter gave to the friends who came to her birthday party on Saturday. It also fits this week's challenge over on the High Hopes blog...to make a party favor. They were quick and easy, and the kids liked them....or at least they liked what was in them =)

What's Cookin'

I made this card for the current challenge over at the High Hopes blog. This image is from the newest release that was made just last week. Check it out HERE.

Patterned paper and brown cardstock were from TAC, a border punch from Friskars made the scallops, and the embossed background is a folder from Cuttlebug.

Notebook Created by Anthony and Brandon

This is an altered notebook created in a dual effort by my two sons, Anthony and Brandon. It was created for this week's challenge over at the High Hopes blog. I told the boys if we won that they could pick out the free stamps. Anthony is also going to use the notebook for some of his school work.

Anthony chose the paper and created the layout, and BJ colored it.

High Hopes Challenge

I joined in the current High Hopes Challenge. It was to use fall colors, and listed, orange, black, purple, brown, and red. I don't think this looks very fall-like, but I did use all 5 of the colors...althought the orange is just on the tie.

Here is what I came up with...I just love these aliens that my sons picked out, and they worked perfectly with TACs Kaleidoscope Boyz paper.

High Hopes Birthday Challenge

I made this kid's birthday card for the new challenge over on the High Hopes blog. I just love this little giraffe, Stretch. I think this card could work for boy or girl...gotta love that.

Stars and Stripes Challenge

I made this card for a challenge over on the High Hopes blog. The card needed to be made with a stars and stripes theme to fit...I think this works.

I colored with watercolor pencils and a dove blender and added a little stickles. I ran the blue paper through my Big Shot in a cuttlebug folder, and that was about it besides adhering it all together. Easy peasy.

High Hopes Firefighter

I was barely able to get a card done in time for the current challenge over on the High Hopes Blog. I loved that the challenge was "Anything Goes,." It made it possible to be a part of it.

Miss You, Princess

I am entering this card into two different challenges. The first is for Friday Sketchers, with their fun and fabulous sketch. The second is the High Hopes challenge. Their challenge this time is to add some glitter and sparkle to our cards. I don't know how well you can see it, but there I added stickles to all the trim on the princess' dress.

The sentiment is from a TAC set, the lattice embossing was done with my Scorpal, and the other embossing on the pinkish cardstock was done with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The ribbon and most of the cardstock is from TAC. The flowers were sponged with Bella Rose palette ink.

An Alien-Girl Style

It was suggested, after I made my first two alien cards, that I should make one that was a girl. This is what I came up with using this week's sketch from SCS.

When I was done, neither of my boys were too sure that this card was a good idea. BJ went so far as to say it was just a boy alien in girl's clothes. Sooo, I had to ask Melora what she thought, since I figured on sending this to a young girl. And, I hate to say it, she agreed with them. She did say she thought it would look better if the alien had a hair bow. Me: "Hairbow?! Why would an alien, without any hair, wear a bow?!" Hmmmm....

I HAD thought this quite cute, but now am not sure about sending it. What do you think?

Again?

I know, I know, some of you are saying, but Trudy, you showed us this card yesterday. Well, if you look close enough you will realize that it is a little bit different. Just a tad. I reversed the colors on the alien's clothes, made the strip smaller, and that is about it. Okay, okay, you're right..., it is pretty much the same.
